Abu Dhabi rents as a delivery market rather than a walk-in one. The bookings come from two directions: people already in Dubai heading down for a race weekend, a concert or a client meeting, and Abu Dhabi residents who want a car for a few days without making the trip north to collect it. Either way the car meets you at your address and is collected from it.
Abu Dhabi is the capital of the UAE, home to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and the Corniche waterfront, about 90 minutes down the E11 from Dubai. Delivery and collection
Delivery to Abu Dhabi is charged, which is the one way it differs from our Dubai addresses. The usual figure is AED 250, and that covers the delivery and the collection together rather than each leg. The exact amount depends on where in the emirate you are, so send us the address and we will confirm it before you book. On longer rentals the charge is waived – tell us your dates and we will tell you where you stand.

The terms, in full
The minimum rental is 24 hours. Drivers must be 21 or over with a licence valid for at least six more months. Rates include VAT and an average allowance of 250 km per day across the rental period. Comprehensive insurance is provided in line with UAE law, with the excess set by the insurance contract. Hermas takes no security deposit on any car, for any duration. A document is signed at handover instead. Cancellation is free, with no deadline.
Driving in Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi runs its own road toll, Darb, on the bridges onto the main island – a Dubai Salik tag does not cover it. Tolls are billed to you at cost either way. The drive between the two cities is a straight run down the E11 and takes around ninety minutes when the road is clear, and there is no border formality of any kind between emirates.
