The terms, in full

The minimum rental is 24 hours. Drivers must be 21 or over with a licence valid for at least six more months. Rates include VAT and an average allowance of 250 km per day across the rental period. Comprehensive insurance is provided in line with UAE law, with the excess set by the insurance contract. Hermas takes no security deposit on any car, for any duration. A document is signed at handover instead. Cancellation is free, with no deadline.

Getting out of Downtown

Sheikh Zayed Road runs along the western edge of Downtown and Financial Centre Road along the eastern, so both directions of the city are a turn away. Salik is charged at cost, capped at AED 7 a crossing, and Downtown sits between the Al Safa and Business Bay gates. Hotel and tower parking in Downtown is paid separately by the driver.
