The terms, in full
The minimum rental is 24 hours. Drivers must be 21 or over with a licence valid for at least six more months. Rates include VAT and an average allowance of 250 km per day across the rental period. Comprehensive insurance is provided in line with UAE law, with the excess set by the insurance contract. Hermas takes no security deposit on any car, for any duration. A document is signed at handover instead. Cancellation is free, with no deadline.
Driving from Jumeirah
Jumeirah Beach Road runs toll-free along the coast from close to Downtown out towards Burj Al Arab and the Marina, which is why it is the drive convertibles get booked for. Cutting inland to Sheikh Zayed Road crosses Salik gates, billed at cost and capped at AED 7 a crossing. The area is villas and beach clubs rather than towers, so parking is rarely the problem it is elsewhere.
