The minimum rental is 24 hours. Drivers must be 21 or over with a licence valid for at least six more months. Rates include VAT and an average allowance of 250 km per day across the rental period. Comprehensive insurance is provided in line with UAE law, with the excess set by the insurance contract. Hermas takes no security deposit on any car, for any duration. A document is signed at handover instead. Cancellation is free, with no deadline.
Driving in Ras Al Khaimah
The Jebel Jais road is fully paved to the top and open to any car, though an SUV makes the switchbacks more comfortable; dune bashing and open desert driving stay off-limits under the rental agreement. There are no Salik or Darb gates in the emirate, and Dubai is about an hour down the E311.
